Capacity building opportunities for social enterprises

Australian Government extends SEDI grants, unlocking $2.6m for social enterprises.

Who is eligible?

SEDI Grants are funded by the Australian government and administered by Impact Investing Australia. They are designed to support eligible social enterprises—including trading Indigenous-owned or controlled organisations that deliver a direct social benefit. The funding enables these organisations to access crucial capability-building services to help them grow their business, scale their impact, and strengthen their contribution to positive social change.

Note, in addition to the existing SEDI grant program, there is a new dedicated funding round for First Nations enterprises. This funding round is being administered by Impact Investing Australia in partnership with Malu Pty Ltd. To qualify for this specific funding pool, your organisation must meet the definition of social enterprise and also be majority Indigenous owned or controlled.

Not sure which stream to apply to? Importantly, if you apply to one stream but the grants administer decides you fit better in the other stream, they will transfer your application – you don’t need to submit two separate applications.
