Fundamentals for Impact – Online assessment tool
Fundamentals for Impact is a framework used to help social sector organisations reflect on operating practices that support greater impact.
This online assessment includes 15 questions, one for each characteristic in the SVA Fundamentals for Impact. It helps you form an indicative view of your organisation’s strengths and areas for further discussion.
It does not score or rank your organisation. It is designed to support you to focus your exploration and reflection on areas where you can make the biggest difference.
The SVA Fundamentals for Impact are 15 characteristics organised into three groups. Together, they look at whether an organisation is client centred, effectively run, and engaged with the ecosystem around it.
Client centred
How well does the organisation understand and respond to the people and communities it exists to serve?
Effectively run
Do the internal practices help the organisation plan, deliver, learn and govern well?
Engaged with the ecosystem
How does the organisation work with others and respond to its broader operating environment?
