Rachel Benitez

Rachel is a Consultant in the SVA Consulting team, with experience in investment, impact measurement, and market research. Drawing from her early career in Aotearoa New Zealand’s impact investing and philanthropy sector, Rachel has experience collaborating with indigenous entrepreneurs, accessible housing providers, and community non-for-profits to improve access to capital for marginalised communities. She has worked across a range of projects, including a novel housing development in New Zealand, blending together affordable build-to-rent, progressive home ownership and state housing, and refining impact strategies for a technology-enabled, sign language startup run by the Deaf.

Prior to joining SVA, Rachel was an Associate at Soul Capital, one of the leading impact-first fund managers in Aotearoa and was involved in the innovation entrepreneurship ecosystem.

I’m a serial question asker, fascinated in the intersection between modern innovation and cultural knowledge systems. The social sector is a doorway into transformative change for the better – and I’m excited to be a part of SVA on this journey.
