Harriet Simpson

Consultant (VIC)

It is a privilege to work at SVA and to be able to support social-sector organisations to be more effective and impactful in the great work that they do.

Harriet is a Consultant in the Consulting team, with experience in professional services and the not-for-profit sector.

Prior to SVA, Harriet worked at Launch Housing, one of Melbourne’s largest independent housing and homelessness not-for-profit organisations. Harriet was Company Secretary and oversaw corporate governance and regulatory compliance. Earlier, she managed the operationalization of Viv’s Place, an Australian first apartment building dedicated to providing safe, permanent housing for at-risk women and children.

Harriet started her career as a solicitor at Hall & Wilcox. She has experience as a volunteer with Monash Law Clinics, Refugee Legal and the North Australian Aboriginal Justice Agency (NAAJA).

Harriet holds a Bachelor of Arts (Sociology) and Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from Monash University. She is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors course (GAICD).
