Angela Poon

Angela Poon is a Manager at SVA Consulting, where she brings her actuarial expertise, strategic thinking, and deep sector knowledge to support a variety of clients including government, social purpose organisations, and corporates.

She has deep expertise in disability and broader social sector reform, particularly in data analytics, financial modelling, and outcomes measurement. Her recent work includes evaluating the Grants Program administered by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission and leading a multidisciplinary team to support the NDIA in improving Specialist Disability Accommodation data.

Angela has co-authored a paper analysing impaired lives mortality for individuals with catastrophic injuries, drawing on a collaboration across nine injury and disability schemes in Australia and New Zealand. She is a qualified actuary and has completed the Graduate Certificate of Social Impact, reflecting her commitment to combining technical rigour with purpose-driven work.
