Partners in recovery project
Undertaken by SVA and the Centre for Social Impact, this project to support public and sector discussion as the sector seeks to transform in response to COVID-19.
About the series
During the COVID-19 pandemic, there was great concern for the Australian charity sector and the people they support, particularly in light of the economic, health and social crises that was unfolding. Charities’ capacity to respond to financial and operational shocks varied drastically, and it will be some time before there is sufficient data to determine it’s full impact. Decisions made at the time will define whether charities are COVID-19 casualties or partners in recovery, and those decisions need to be based on the best available information.
The Partners in Recovery research series from Social Ventures Australia and the Centre for Social Impact explores the unique social and economic contribution charities make to Australian society and how they are affected by the confluence of service disruption, falling income, rising demand and higher operating costs.
