This website www.socialventures.org.au (the “site“) is operated by Social Ventures Australia (SVA) (“us” or “we“). By accessing the site, or registering an interest in working with SVA, you agree to us collecting, using and disclosing your personal information in accordance with our privacy policy and this privacy collection statement which you acknowledge you have read and understood.

For what purposes do we collect personal information?

We may collect personal information about you when you register for and use the site, or at any point in the recruitment or on-boarding processes (including via face to face, email, telephone calls or other means), for the purpose of recruitment, administering the site, creating your candidate or staff profile, and other purposes set out in this statement or our privacy policy. If you do not provide this information to us, we may not be able to carry out these activities or may be restricted in the way we can carry out these activities.

For what purposes do we collect sensitive information?

You agree we may collect personal information that is also sensitive information (as defined in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth)) about you for certain purposes, including:

• diversity and inclusion, which are of great importance to us as we are committed to understanding and strengthening our diversity profile.  Any sensitive information collected for this purpose is provided on a voluntary basis and is used in an aggregated and anonymised form for reporting on the diversity of our workforce in relation to culture, gender and disability

• to assess whether you require any adjustment to the recruitment process or to the workplace should you be recruited  (e.g. due to disability)
• background checking where undertaken (e.g. criminal record checks).

Who may we disclose your personal information to?

We may disclose your personal information to regulators and other government bodies, as well as where required by law and to our service providers, contractors and other persons set out in our privacy policy.

How do you access and correct your personal information?

You agree to provide accurate, complete and up to date information to us when using the site and or completing candidate/applicant or staff profile registrations. You may access and correct some of your personal information collected by us by emailing [email protected].
